Why Obama Announces Troop Withdrawals

Why would Obama announce troop withdrawals from Afghanistan? He can't send an email with our war itinerary to the Taliban running all over the country, duh! At least while announcing this on television during the good shows (The Voice and So You Think You Can Dance) he can give the Taliban our war schedule while keeping a promise he made at the end of 2009.
